Newhaven Park is home to dual Group 1 winner Xtravagant (Pentire x Axiom), Group 1-winning Champion 2YO Cool Aza Beel (Savabeel x Cool ‘n’ Sassy) and dual Group One winner Mo’Unga (Savabeel x Chandelier).
Xtravagant was Champion 3YO Colt in NZ winning the Group 1 Guineas and the Group 1 Waikato Sprint by a combined margin of 16 1/2 lengths. Cool Aza Beel is the only Group 1-winning 2YO son of Champion Sire Savabeel and was an emphatic winner of the Karaka 2YO Million and Group 1 Sistema Stakes. Mo’Unga joins the roster in 2024, a dominant winner at his only start at 2, before going on to win the Group One Winx Stakes & the Group One Rosehill Guineas.
Xtravagant has made a great start to his stallion career, with his first crop including Group 2 winner Lavish Girl, as well as the Listed Race winners Devoted and He’s Xceptional. In addition, second-crop daughters Xtravagant Star and Arts claimed the Inglis 2YO Millennium and Group 3 Adrian Knox Stakes respectively. Meanwhile, Cool Aza Beel saw his first crop yearlings sell up to $280,000 and join many of AUS/NZ’s leadings tables. Already in the first few weeks of 2-year-old competition in season 2024/25 his most precocious stock have won trials either side of the Tasman.
