Newhaven Park is home to dual Group 1 winner Xtravagant (Pentire x Axiom), Group 1-winning Champion 2YO Cool Aza Beel (Savabeel x Cool ‘n’ Sassy), and dual Group One winner Mo’Unga (Savabeel x Chandelier).
Xtravagant was Champion 3YO Colt in NZ winning the Group 1 Guineas and the Group 1 Waikato Sprint by a combined margin of 16 1/2 lengths. Cool Aza Beel is the only Group 1-winning 2YO son of Champion Sire Savabeel and was an emphatic winner of the Karaka 2YO Million and Group 1 Sistema Stakes. Mo’Unga joined the roster in 2024 as a dominant winner at his only start at 2, before going on to win the Group 1 Winx Stakes & the Group 1 Rosehill Guineas.
Xtravagant is a proven sire of black-type winners, with his progeny featuring the likes of Group 2 winner Lavish Girl and Group 3 winner Arts, in addition to the inaugural $1 million The Meteorite winner Nadal. Meanwhile, Cool Aza Beel has already been represented by a juvenile Group 1 winner in his first crop to race, the Group 1 BRC JJ Atkins Stakes victor Cool Archie headlining early 2-year-old winners that also include Don’t Tellyafather, Gable and Cool Aza Rene.
