November 3 – Breaking her maiden on Cup Day at Randwick for Champion Thoroughbreds was improving three year-old filly Sheilarized, a $130,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Newhaven Park draft.
Bred to get further, being by Authorized (GB) from the Street Cry (IRE) mare Street ‘em Sheila (USA), the Joe Pride trained Sheilarized took the Benchmark 67 1400 metre contest by a long head.
Bred by Twin Palms and consigned by Newhaven, Sheilarized looks a bright prospect for her big team of owners.
Also breaking his maiden at Doomben was four year-old Manhattan Rain gelding Cocoa Bar, a $160,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Newhaven draft.
Bred by Newhaven Park, he is the third winner for stakes-placed Sweet Ransom, who has a yearling filly by Delago Deluxe.
