Making it back to back #MelCupCarnival wins, Eclair Choice (California Dane-Bounce) succeeded with a barrier to box #victory in the tab.com.au Stakes Gr2 today with a smiling Dom Tourneur aboard. His last start was a dead-heated win in the #CaulfieldStakes Gr2 but this time he didn’t leave anything to chance and refused to be headed at any stage, winning by 3/4 length.
#SouthAustralian based trainer Phillip Stokes has described the horse as a “bull dog” for his strong #WillToWin! Today’s race was the pinnacle for Eclair Choice, who will now have a spell and then be aimed for the #AutumnCarnival. The gelding has won $480,000 for owner Thomas Li, and was just a $5,000 purchase from the Newhaven Park draft at Gold Coast National Weanling Sale.
