An interesting set of barrier trials was held at Warwick Farm on Friday morning with Clarry Conners producing the winners of the two juvenile heats.

Newhaven Park have had a lot of success with Clarry Conners over the years and look set for more with the Redoute’s Choice filly Offer, who won her 802 metre trial by a length and a quarter in 47.8 seconds.

The filly was bred and retained to race by the Kelly family, who purchased her dam Media as a yearling at the Inglis Easter Sale back in 2004 for $340,000.

By Gilded Time (USA) from Valourina, Media (pictured) proved an instant hit on the track winning the Listed AJC Gimcrack Stakes on debut before going on to a long and fruitful career during which she won more than $800,000 in prizemoney.

A brilliant juvenile who won the Group Two STC Magic Night Stakes and finished third in the Group One STC Golden Slipper, Media looks to have a produced a very nice filly in Offer, who was offered at the Magic Millions Sale earlier this year where she was passed in shy of her $300,000 reserve.

Winning the other juvenile heat was the Clarry Conners trained Snitzel filly Debelle (pictured as a yearling) , a $90,000 purchase from the Bellerive Stud draft at the 2010 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale in Melbourne.

Debelle won by three-quarters of a length in the time of 48.9 seconds and is from former handy mare Olivia de Belle (NZ), a daughter of Kiwi Group One winner Silver Chalice.

Also in action at the trials were a couple of big gun sprinters in All Silent and Hot Danish, who won their respective trials and look set for good campaigns.
