May 29 – Newhaven Park bred / or sold two year-olds have been racing up a storm with recent wins for Cadogan and Orleans followed by a Kembla success for Hanover Square, a $45,000 Magic Millions purchase for Akram Younan.
Prepared by Peter and Paul Snowden, Hanover Square improved at his second outing to take the 1200 metre contest by a long head.
A handsome bay by Manhattan Rain, Hanover Square is the ninth winner from good producer Beam, a daughter of Golden Slipper winner Bint Marscay.
Newhaven Park will offer a weanling colt from Beam by Delago Deluxe as Lot 201 at the Magic Millions National Weanling Sale.
